What the HP4 is?

Reduce the heating/cooling costs and forget the moldy walls for good:

The HP4 originates from a nanotechnology coating developed in the eighties. Although originally it was not intended for construction industry use, the HP4, after further perfection, became very effective coating material for this industry as well.

The HP4 coating consists of tiny vacuum balls and a special bonding material. The average size of such vacuum balls is between Ø10-120 µm, which means that the coating applied to the wall contains several layers of heat-reflective vacuum balls with the special bonding material among them.

HP4 (Hőpajzs 4 = Heatshield 4) is an indoor, heat-reflective, dispersion coating with excellent heat-reflection properties, made and developed in Hungary.

The HP4 heat-reflective coating is based on a different operating principle than the other, well known insulation materials like polystyrol, mineral wool or fiberglass. Thanks to this the HP4 has several advantages over the older materials, and is more effective at increase of your home’s comfort, energy saving, and even the costs related to implementation of this technology are smaller.

By using the HP4 coating 80% of thermal radiation is reflected back into the room, therefore in the warm months it decreases the warming of the room, while during the cold months it provides quick and steady warming, decreasing the heating costs by 20-40%. The HP4 saves for you energy, namely money!

The HP4 coating solves the issues related to moldy walls and thermal bridges too. In case of thermal bridge the temperature of the surface of the wall is lower than its environment, therefore the warm moist air condenses on cooler wall surfaces, whereas the condensed water drops on the wall are the best possible environment for mold growth.
The HP4 consists of large number of micron sized vacuum balls that distribute the heat evenly on the surface of the wall, therefore the thermal bridges are insulated and eliminated. By stopping thermal bridging there is no moist air condensation and mold growth anymore. The HP4 coating stops the mold growth in two ways: by stopping thermal bridging, and by moist absorption. Use the HP4 coating in your home, and the thermal bridging and mold problems will be solved for good.
